WiFi Transfer – Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the WiFi Transfer app for Android (package com.pushlogics.wifitransfer, "the app"), published by Pushlogics Infotech, Varanasi, India ("we", "us"), handles information. If you have questions, email ashutosh.entrepreneur@gmail.com.

Summary

• Your files move only between your own phone and a computer you approve, directly over your local WiFi network or hotspot.
• Files are never uploaded to the internet, to our servers or to any third party.
• The app does not collect, store on a server, or share any personal information.
• There is no account, no sign-up and no login.
• The app shows no advertisements and contains no analytics or tracking tools.

Files on your phone

To let you browse, manage and transfer files, the app asks for Android's "All files access" permission. With it, the app's built-in file manager can show, open, share, rename and delete files on your phone, and a computer you have approved can download files from and upload files to your phone. Your files are read and written only on your phone and are sent only to that approved computer over your local network.

Local file server and connection approval

When you tap "Start sharing", the app runs a small web server on your phone that is reachable only from your local network. Every new browser must be approved on your phone (Allow / Deny) before it can see anything. Approval lasts only until you stop sharing or tap "Disconnect"; nothing about the computer is stored after that. Transfers on your local network use standard HTTP and are not encrypted, so only share on networks you trust (for example your home WiFi or your phone's own hotspot).

Information stored on your device

The app saves a few preferences on your phone: the device name shown in the browser, theme (system, light or dark) and whether hidden files are shown. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. The app may keep small thumbnail images of your photos and videos in its private cache to show previews faster; these stay on your phone.

Permissions

• All files access: to browse and transfer any file you choose (see above).
• Notifications: to show that sharing is on, and to let you allow or deny a computer that wants to connect without opening the app.
• WiFi / network state and Internet: to find your phone's local address and run the local file server. The app does not contact any internet server.
• Foreground service and wake lock: so transfers keep running while the screen is off. Sharing stops when you tap "Stop sharing".

The app does not access your contacts, camera, microphone or location.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Data retention and deletion

We do not hold any of your data. Settings and thumbnails stay on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Files you transfer are saved where you choose, on your own devices.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app handles information differently (for example, if advertising is added), we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above before that version is released. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
